About Consulate-General of Japan in Atlanta

A Japanese government entity dedicated to serving Japanese citizens living in the U.S. and promoting cultural, political, and economic exchange between Japan and the four states of Alabama, Georgia, South Carolina, and North Carolina.

At the Consulate General of Japan in Atlanta, we maintain a variety of information and pamphlets, as well as a multitude of cultural items such as exhibit items and videos available for loan for people looking to learn more about Japan. We also manage scholarship and exchange programs, including the Japan Exchange and Teaching (JET) Program, and scholarships from the Ministry of Education, Sports, Science, and Technology (MEXT). If you are interested in participating in any of these programs, please contact us.
