About Japan America Society of Iowa

Japan America Society of Iowa (JASI) was found in 1989 by a small group of dedicated individuals to promote Japanese culture in central Iowa.

The Japan America Society of Iowa (JASI) is a non-profit, volunteer based organization that seeks to establish mutual understanding between Japanese and American communities in Iowa. JASI provides opportunities to its members and the public to participate in social, cultural, and educational activities.

JASI envisions a community defined by the vibrant friendship between the people of Japan and the people of Iowa based on cultural and community exchange. JASI members work to promote a sense of community among those in central Iowa who appreciate Japanese culture, language, and arts.
